About Version 2

Version 2 of the AutoMega Script has been recreated from the ground up in every way. We have listened to what people would like to see in this version and have added so many new features. One of the biggest changes to the system is the replacement of the normal percent style tokens with pure php code. This will allow a lot more customization to the template, pages, and posts. The template system has been completely replaced with the header and footer type of template system that is used by many other scripts like WordPress.

We use a text file based system to store pages and posts instead of a database to allow users to use php code with them, plus you do not have to setup a database. The only problem with not using a database is as the user adds more to the site, it can start to show signs of slowing down and we do not how big the site can be.

Another big move in version 2 is a plugin system. A plugin can be uploaded and used to add sections like Amazon Stores, Ebay Auctions, Youtube Videos, Pictures Galleries, and many more... Some plugins will have it's very own Admin Area for managing special features.
