Question #1:

Help in getting into shape from scratch?

Alright i'm a guy, 16 this year and i'm about 63kg (about 139lbs) and I would like some help in getting my stamina way up.

I run 2.4km (about 1.5 miles) in around 12:50 and I would really like to be able to run it in 10minutes for my upcoming National Physical Fitness Assessment.

Any daily routines of how I train would be greatly appreciated! And by the way, I don't have any Gym membership or equipment so only exercises that requires no equipment please! Thanks!

Golf - How do i take my driving to the next level?

I am a 29 year old 9 handicapper and have been an avid golfer for about 2 years. I have a fairly solid swing and hit my 9 iron about 150-155 yards and my driver about 265-270 yards, I normally used to be longest off the tee in an average random foursome i used to play in at my club and that made me think i have decent length off the tee.
But recently i played with a 3 handicapper and he bombed it 30 yards past me on every drive. and that put things into perspective for me that i aint that long at all. My question is .. how do i go from my "fairly long "category to the "really long" category in Driving. Is it practice.. technique.. fitness.. equipment?? ( I use a Nike sumo2 9.5 degree with Stiff shaft).. Any input would be greatly appreciated..

P.S i know length aint everything to lower your scores..it comes down to the short game.. but i would like to seriously work on becoming longer .. as i know it is important in todays game.

Recommendation for fitness equipment?

I'm looking to purchase some fitness equipment. Its between the Total Gym or the Ab Circle (something a little cheaper) and going "all out" and getting an elliptical.

Any suggestions on any type of equipment, or personal reviews on the said equipment?

I'm clueless about fitness, nothing I do is working?

I'm looking for a how-to guide for working out. I try to lift dumbbells, I tried P90X, nothing really works too well. I think perhaps I'm not lifting to my max potential? I don't know what's wrong, but I just can't seem to get myself into good shape. I go to school and can use a full gym with all the equipment, but I don't even know how to use those machines. Where do I start? I'm REALLY getting frustrated.

desperatly need help!! im always comparing myself and feeling bad about myself? low self esteem?

im 15 female 5'3" or 5'4" and 126 pounds. im very self concious and therefore have a very low self esteem. i dont know how to love myself. as soon as someone tells me something looks bad on me even if they are kiding i take it off right away and never put it on. my main problems are 2 HORRIBLE, NASTY, STUPID FUCKING THINGS: STRETCH MARKS AND FATNESS. im soo upset. i am always comparing myself to someone else who is prettier than me or is FAT AND DOESNT HAVE STRETCH MARKS and still has a happy life. i feel so small in front of everyone and i never stand out. thats because since im so self concious i do what I THINK WILL LOOK GOOD TO OTHER PEOPLES EYES. i think i need a psychaetrist but i SWEAR TO GOD IF I AT LEAST WAS SKINNY, I WOULDNT ACT THIS WAY. the main problem is that im fat. ok i do have stretch marks but they are my skin color...i cant do anything about it anymore, but i want to lose weight. parents dont let me out anywhere they are TOO OVER PROTECTIVE. so i cant even walk around the block. and at my house there is no fitness equipments. so i wana do a diet. any help? PLEASE HELP ME!! im gona DIE IN THIS LONELINESS

its july 14 and i go back to school the 23rd of august im 175 pounds and about 5'6.. i want to get downt to a decent size but im big boned... but the only problem is we have no fitness equipment and no healthy food in the house... is there anything i can do to loose 20-30 pounds before school starts? please help this is my last chance

Question #8:

Where to find some good fitness routines which don't need special equipment?

I'll be away from the city for a couple of weeks and there's really not a good gym around here so I want to know where I could find a good workout routine since I'm just beginning to workout and I've seen some good improvement, I don't want to stop the progress or anything so mainly I want some excercises designed for the arms, chest and abs, since my legs are very much more developed due to childhood activities and sports.

The less space needed the better since the place I'm staying doesn't have much room either, any help is gladly appreciated.

can someone help me with a fitness plan?

i'm 5'11 and around 135lbs. (and a girl) i have previously gone on crash diets and gotten down to <120lbs, but at the time i didn't do any exercise so was "flabby skinny" so this time i'd like to do things differently! i'm not really bothered if i lose weight, but i 'd like to tone areas, specifically my belly and thighs, but all over could do with toning.
the equipment i have at home includes
-a bike
-an cross trainer
-weights bench
SO could some of you lovely people please suggest exercises for me to do/foods to eat to try and tone up? THANK YOU

Why is that they have lower physical fitness requirements "PFT's" for females in Police and Firefighters?

Like as in Firefighting training, a female has only to carry (drag) 40 #'s of equipment up 2 flights of stairs, while the male has to carry 90#'s up 5 flights of stairs. Yet both get judged as "outstanding" on that. I saw a news story on TV after an apartment fire, they found the one female "firefighter" to interview, she said "Yes it was tough, but WE did it, WE got right in there and did our job" She looked like she just showed up for work, the real (men) Firefighters were covered with soot and wore out. Yes there are some, that can handle that, but a 90# female? I will get the usual "I know many women that can kick your butt", so what, so could my mother, till I turned 12 years old, she knows better than to try that now. And of course the attacks about my grammar, that's all they got in response. And those that cry-baby to Yahoo "Fred said the truth, he made me feel bad".............XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Fred.
Watch the "Documentry" on A&E (?) called "The Academy", Sheriff training in LA, the females (most) there could barely walk a 100 yards, let alone run, but they were made Deputies. A true thing on there.
Citicop, but let A white cop, shoot a black guy in self defence, can't do that, need to subdue them without harm. You need to get out more.
